PELMENI DUMPLINGS – 22 oz / 600 gr

​Pelmeni are traditional Russian dumplings made from thin, unleavened dough filled with seasoned ground meat, typically a mix of beef and pork. They are boiled until they float and commonly served with sour cream, butter, or vinegar. Pelmeni are especially popular during the cold winter months.

INGREDIENTS:

Dough:

  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Water (cold)

Filling (Traditional Beef/Pork Mix):

  • Ground beef
  • Ground pork
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Spices

    HOW TO PREPARE:
  • Boiling Method (Traditional):
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.​
    • Add the frozen pelmeni, ensuring they don’t stick together.
    • Once they float to the surface, continue boiling for 3–5 minutes until fully cooked.​
    • Remove with a slotted spoon and serve with your preferred toppings.​
  • Pan-Frying Method:
    • Boil the pelmeni as above but reduce the boiling time to 5 minutes.​
    • Drain and let them cool slightly.​
    • Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.​
    • Fry the pelmeni until golden brown on both sides.​
  • Deep-Frying Method:
    • Heat oil in a deep fryer to 500°F (260°C).​
    • Fry the frozen pelmeni in a single layer until golden brown on all sides.​
    • Remove, place in a sealed container, and let them sit for 5 minutes before serving.
